How to read this page. We built one of these two tools, so treat the summary with the skepticism it deserves and check the rows yourself. Every claim about QuoteChecker.ai below was read off their own public pages on August 1, 2026 and is written to be verifiable there. Where they match us or beat us, the table says so — two rows here are not in our favor. Where something simply is not published, we say "not published on their site" rather than claiming it does not exist.

Both tools do the same thing at a glance: you hand over a quote, you get back a verdict on the price. The question worth asking of either is what the verdict is compared against, because a fairness score is only as good as the pricing data behind it.
That is the row to read closely. Our score is benchmarked against 3,298 real quotes people have submitted, plus 14,000+ regional pricing benchmarks, and we publish the totals so you can check them: the live stats API is open, and the category benchmark CSV is downloadable. QuoteChecker.ai states that it benchmarks 30+ metro areas but does not publish a sample size or a methodology document, so there is no way to check the depth of the comparison from outside. That is a disclosure difference, not a quality claim — an undisclosed dataset can still be a good one. It just cannot be verified.
Everything else is close. Both are free to run a check, neither requires an account, and both read line items rather than judging a lump sum.
If you are checking a solar panel proposal, use them. Solar is a category they handle and we do not — our coverage is contractor trades plus auto and collision repair.
If your priority is that nothing about your quote is retained at all, their stated posture is stricter than ours. They say nothing is stored once the scan finishes. We delete uploaded files immediately after analysis, but we do keep aggregate, anonymized pricing patterns — that retention is exactly what the published benchmark dataset is built from, and it is the reason we can state a sample size at all. That is a genuine trade-off between verifiability and retention, and which side you want depends on what you care about.
